Of course, we’d love to simply
tell you that NT or Linux offers the best performance, cash
our kickback checks and leave it at that. Unfortunately for
us (and our accountants), performance is not the only thing
that matters. In fact, it’s impossible to gauge performance
without ranking performance variables. Take speed and

on delivering instant information, but could stand the bane

If you’re an OS bigot—a Microsoft maniac or Unixonian—many
